MRT Food Sensitivity Testing & the LEAP Program

Nutrition Balance offers MRT food sensitivity testing with the LEAP program in West Hartford Center, interpreted one-on-one by Romely Ritoli, R.D., CD-N. The Mediator Release Test quantifies your inflammatory response to foods and food chemicals, and the LEAP elimination and anti-inflammatory eating plan it guides can ease discomfort from IBS, migraine and fibromyalgia.

The Mediator Release Test (MRT) is a functional measurement of diet-induced sensitivity pathways used to quantify the inflammatory response to foods and food chemicals. When combined with the Lifestyle Eating and Performance (LEAP) elimination and anti-inflammatory eating protocol, MRT can ease discomfort from various conditions including fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome and migraine, as well as many other health concerns.

How does the LEAP program work?

You will receive a test kit to have your blood drawn, and you will receive your food sensitivity booklet for your registered dietitian to interpret your results and guide you to follow the LEAP diet. The MRT-based LEAP anti-inflammatory eating plan produces the most complete outcomes in the shortest period of time.
