What to expect

Time and attention, from the first visit

Initial consultation

A comprehensive nutritional assessment: your medical history, current medical status, physical activity, food intake and preferences, lifestyle factors, and lab results are reviewed and analyzed, with recommendations provided accordingly. Plan for 60–90 minutes.

Follow-up visits

Typically scheduled two to three weeks from the initial visit, with continual support through further education, advice, motivation, and ongoing evaluations.

Nutrition counseling, covered by many medical plans

Many major medical plans — including Medicare — cover visits with a Registered Dietitian. If your insurance requires a referral, have your primary care physician submit it before your visit; our office will submit the necessary forms for you once coverage has been confirmed.
